Inspired by bendoeslife.tumblr.com to start on long-distance running. :)
Weight's been sstagnant and it irks me.
Need. To. Lose. More. Weight. 

I've mapped out 5k and 10k routes around pasir ris area from my house and back.
Gonna start on a 5k after the mission trip. 
If I stick to this I should be ready for the 10k sundown marathon in May.
The max I've ran so far is about 8k I think.
And it was by accident, somewhat.
Happily ran around pasirris and decided to go further. Forgot that I had to make my way back home as well. Lol.
I stopped running outdoors after I almost got knocked down by a schoolbus. 
Don't like running on the treadmill anymore so I guess I'll have to start getting used to running outside once again.

Must not procrastinate. Especially in the mornings! 
Can't seem to get myself to run in the morning. Swimming's fine but the thought of running just sets me into snooze mode or smth. Need to quit thinking that I've got no stamina in the morning. Haha.
But it's true that I like evening runs. Oh well. 
We'll see how this running thing goes. :)

 

 

Just came up with the skeleton for my sermon.
This calls for a post on my blog for memories' sake. :)

Earlier in the day I found 2 short texts that I already found interesting/suitable for a short sermon, both from Philippians. But I found them by merely flipping the pages in the bible back and forth so I thought I should at least pray first before embarking on writing a verbatim that preaches His word.

While praying and asking God what my sermon should be on, the word "Joy" struck me the most (besides "love"). So anyway, I was really clueless about what text to select because God only gave me the words "Joy" and "Love". I actually stopped praying and asked myself, Is God really telling me those two words, and WHY can't He give me nicer words that will lead me to a more specific text. Love and Joy would lead to soooooo many verses in the bible!
I decided to just read up more on the 2 short texts that I found from the Book of Philippians to see if I can really form a sermon from them.
(Lol no choice. Gotta do a 15 min-long verbatim and present it on Thursday morning! Eeeeps.)

Then I, was so delighted, when I found out that the Book of Philippians was the happiest epistle that Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians while he was in jail.
One of the text that I was considering (Phi 2:1-4) also, in verse 2, mentioned about both joy and love.

"then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind."

Thank God for helping me complete the most challenging part of writing a sermon,
selecting the text.

Still afraid of dogs though. Dang. 
Wonder how I'll survive over there.
But the Lord is my God, of whom shall I fear???

Dogs maybe. Hahahaha. Okay joking. Must not be scared of them.
I will overcome my fear! LORD YOU HAVE TO HELP ME.

Just when I typed this, 2 dogs just started some barking war downstairs. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Started serving in Youth Church and I'm enjoying myself so far!
Getting to know the my sec 1 girls cell better. :)
Cute bunch. 
I really pray that God will use me well to minister to them or be a source of support to some of them who are having issues in their lives. Pray that these sheep of mine will grow well in time to come.
